Wash that water out when you're done

I was boiling water for tea in a shallow pan today when Marlon came into the kitchen and said angrily, “Why would you use the skillet when we have little pans?!”

I asked, “why does that matter? It’s just boiling water.”

And he says, “well then wash it out when you’re done.”

I said, “It is washed out dad, it’s water…”
Then he grunted and walked away
